Bio

Democrat Elaine Alquist was first elected to the California State Senate in 2004. She represents California’s 13th Senate District. When her current four-year term expires in 2012, she will not be able to run for re-election because of California’s term limits. Prior to joining the state senate, Alquist was a member of the California State Assembly from 1997-2002. She also served on the Cupertino Union School Board from 1983-1991.
