Bio
Republican Dave Cox represents California’s 1st Senate District. He was first elected to the state senate in 2004 and was re-elected in 2008; his current term expires in 2012. Cox previously served as a member of the California State Assembly, where he represented the 5th District from 1998-2004, serving as the Assembly Republican Leader in 2000-2004. He also served on the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors and on the Sacramento Municipal Utility District board.
