Bio

Democrat Gloria J. Romero was first elected to the California State Senate in the special election in March 2001. She represents the state’s 24th Senate District. Her current four-year term ends in 2010 and she will not be able to run again for the California Senate because of the state’s term limits. Romero was first elected to the state senate in a special election in March 2001. She was re-elected in November 2002 and November 2006. She previously served on the California State Assembly from 1998-2000 including a stint as its Majority Whip.
