Bio

Democrat Dean Florez was first elected to the California State Senate in 2002 . He represents California’s 16th Senate District. His current four-year term ends in 2010 and he will not be able to run again for the California Senate because of the state’s term limits. He is currently serving as the Senate Majority Leader.
Prior to joining the state senate, Florez served in the California State Assembly from 1998-2002.
